HTC?s two Windows Phone 8 handsets have been priced for the UK.
The high-end 8X is set to cost just shy of ?400, with a very precise ?398.98, according to Unlocked Mobiles. The 8S will sell for ?224.98.
Both handsets will be HTC?s first for the upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS. The 8X is the higher specced of the two, with a 4.3-inch screen and 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Inside is 1GB of RAM, and Beats Audio tech, along with an amp helping it crank up the volume. And the front-facing camera is 2.1-megapixels, showing you warts-and-all in video calls.?It?ll compete with Nokia?s Lumia 920.
The 8S, meanwhile, has a 4-inch screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, and 5-megapixel rear camera. It?ll be taking aim at the Lumia 820.?Both phones are due in November, when Windows Phone 8 has launched.
We went hands on with both devices, and while they?re impressive, with bold colours and sturdy build, we can?t see why you?d choose either over the respective rivals from Nokia, which come jam packed with useful extras like Nokia Drive. But hey, we?ll have to wait and see how they perform come November.
